January Contest

You may not be thinking of this yet, but Valentine's day is not that far away.  If you have a special sweetheart and an interesting and or romantic story about your relationship with that person or if you met in a way that is funny or cute and might be enjoyable and interesting in any way to read about, I would love for you to share that story on my blog.  So that is what the contest is.  Send me your "love story" must be more than one paragraph (a paragraph is more than one line).  I just don't want any one's feelings hurt after they submit their story, so I am defining a few parameters about the story length.  If the story includes grammar errors or typos, no problem I am happy to do editing.  It's the actual story line that counts.  The best two stories I receive will each get their choice of perfume (any roll on or solid) and/or flavored lip gloss with a value of up to $25.  That means quality will win out over quantity of words.  A two paragraph story is fine.

If you Google the term paragraph most dictionaries will define it as one or more sentences, however the way I learned to write in college is that the first line of a paragraph is the introduction of what the topic is.  We called tell it "tell them what you are going to tell them" (in summation form that is).  Here is a link to a web page that discusses paragraph structure (just in case you would like to be sure before you start writing: Basic paragraph structure

Lip gloss flavors contest

I want to start offering flavored lip glosses in January. Most of my items are all natural from some type of plant. These flavors will be synthesized and highly popular flavors. My problem is there must be at least hundreds of them and with a limited budget I can't afford all of them, so I would like to pick out the top 10 flavors according to my visitors.

Here are the flavor oils that I am considering: cherry berry, cinnamon supreme, French vanilla, coconut milk and peaches, grand marnier and apricot, cappuccino, blackberry pomengrante, black cherry, butterscotch, champagne, chocolate cream, coconut, Island delight (very popular), margarita, vanilla orchid, peppermnt, pina colda, raspberries and cream, root beer, strawberry swirl, vanilla banilla, chai tea, blueberry, brown sugar, creme de menthe, green apple, hazelnut, dill pickle, pink lemonade, pistachio ice cream, pizza, red velvet cake, sangria, watermelon, white chocolate, wild red cherry, zucchini bread, peanut butter, mango peach, pineapple and tangerine, nutmeg and caramel, ginger snap, lemon cheesecake, lemon pound cake, lemon drops, malted milk balls, mango lassi, mint truffle, caramel and orange sorbet.

October Blog Contest Winner and funnies too

The winner of the two lip balms for October's give away is smallfootprints (I won't gift the real name since this is the name used on the posts).  Although I didn't have a second place prize originally, because Kayla posted so many times I will be giving her a prize as well.  She will receive two lip balms as well, but they will be the new ones I am trying which use a standard round tube and only contain 0.20 ounces rather than the 0.33 oz..

Smallfootprints has already sent me her address, so now I need your address Kayla.  I will also email you kayla just in case.  Thanks for your participation and your lips won't be capped and hurting this winter.

October give away

I forgot to announce the winner for my give away on October 1st.  The winner is Martiel Beatty.  She is not currently working because she recently had a surgery.  I will notify her and when she is feeling better I will ask her to give feed back on her prize.

This month's giveaway will be for 2 lip balms (stick form).  Retail price is currently $5 (2.5 each) plus $2.50 for shipping.  So that's a $7.50 value.  Winter is approaching and with it the cold weather that chaps your lips.  I do not add flavors because when you lick your lips you are actually defeating the purpose of using a lip balm.  My lip balm is all natural no man made additives are used and they are also made using all vegan ingredients.
